CoteThe ecological transition is about the planet and the environment at the intersection of physical space and social life. It is about the city we live in and the way local communities, our relationships and our daily lives can better sustain the environment.
In Romania there are already many initiatives supporting and promoting this movement through their work in different forms from urban gardens or local initiative groups to online communities or sustainable businesses.
But these initiatives are not interconnected and the Ecological Transition Map aims to do just that – to interconnect initiatives that support the environment through the principles of the green transition closer together and make them more visible to the general public.
We kindly invite you to take a look at the map below!
Initiatives were identified through a public survey and an online research in spring 2021 bringing together over 150 examples of green transition projects.
If you think your initiative should be on the map too, drop us a line at atu@atu.org.ro.
The map is developed by Urboteca and the Association for Urban Transition (A.T.U.) in partnership with Atelier d’Architecture Autogéréé with funding from the Ambassade de France en Roumanie and the French Institute through the project “Green Transition, Climate Change and Sustainable Cities” (2020-2021).
